My first doggie...the one I had for 18 years...is still with me. Her ashes, that is. Decided I could never spread them cause then she wouldn't be with me. When I divorced, her ashes were one of the only non-negotiables I had when it came to splitting up our propery.

I say let 'er rip. Your opinions, I mean. Those of us who know you and are absolutely nuts about you KNOW that you would never blog about something that you couldn't tell us to our faces. So do it!

No one agrees with all their friends...it's not how people are wired. We all have differing opinions on everything.

Heaven knows how many of my friends absolutely love their kids beyond belief and would not want to be alive without them...yet they respect my views and beliefs as a huge champion of living a childfree-by-choice life.

I think as long as someone is not spiteful and hateful, you can pretty much say what you want.

My 2 cents, as always.

It's hard to have your name associated with your blog. I don't use my real name but. . . I also steer clear of saying thing I wouldn't want anyone to happen upon or that I wouldn't say to someone's face. There is plenty I want to blog that I stop myself from sharing.

I think anonymous blogs are the way to go because that way you can really have some catharsis through writing. If you go underground, I hope you'll let some of us follow you.

You moved the ashes from one home to the next? Wow, that takes dedication, my friend.

And you're not alone with the whole balancing act on this here blog. I've always been one to say you've got to remain true to yourself. For some people, that means they get to write what's on their mind in an open way. And they know there might be consequences they'll have to deal with down the road. Others choose the anonymous route because it allows them to freely express themselves without those consequences. I say, it doesn't matter which route you take. So long as you remain true to yourself and true to your intentions of having a blog.

And so long as you'd share the address with me, I'd follow you if you choose to go undercover. Have a happy long weekend - who gives a F that it's the 4th!

Note to Rosie:

Next time be sure to hit up the East Village.

Jersey City is NOT Brooklyn.

E-mail me for hot spots in "the Burg.

Locals do not hang in mid-town or Times Square. The flip flop wearing folk were tourists.

I LOVE Balthazar for brunch. My favorite thing to say on a very hungover Saturday morning is B-A-L-L-L-L-T-H-A-Z-A-R.
Of course you have to be prepared for a $75 breakfast but so worth it.

And yes, we work hard and party hard and never sleep. That is why we all employ Acupuncturists, Stylists, Dermatologists, Therapists, Colorists, Plastic Surgeons, Facialists, Hollywood Doctors and massage Therapists. God knows I would never make it with out them ;-)

Ciao!

Sounds like a blast! I know what you mean - not being able to live there. But, visit? Without a doubt, at least once a year! You're making me look forward to my Big Gay Bachelorette Party there in a few months!

I like those missed connections. I don't read them all the time but I have. It's pretty sweet that the barista fancies you. Have you got a free drink yet?! ;)

You crack me up! Sweets is already one step ahead of you. He's on a first name basis with the "barista" at Dunkin Donuts (though I don't think they're called that at DD). And now that he's trying to make coffee at home and we're about to move ... I think he's kind of sad. He's going to miss their morning 3-second conversations.
